Two Titles from our 1970’s 15 Australian Ozploitation movies list, saluted by the Australian Film Institute, are shown this year at FNC as part of a classic wild and spooky environmental feature series:

Colin Eggleston’s Long Weekend (1978) at Cinemathèque Québécoise on Monday October 14, 1PM

Peter Weir (Witness, Truman Show)’s The Last Wave (1977), with its personal take on climate crisis, is also at Cinemathèque Québécoise on Tuesday October 15, 9PM and Sunday October 20, 3PM

In both films, nature does not seem to forgive human’s outrage… and fights back.
