As usual it runs all week until next Monday with a run of their popular Short film programs, VR installations, promotion of cultural and economic exchange between both countries, galas, an Entertainment technology summit and, of course, a string of film from Mainland China.

The Chinese opera tradition will also be the main feature in the more contemporary Apprenticeship, a story about the continuity of this art.

Shot in Germany (by Chinese director Lun Yan) The Tenant of August, offers to its character the chance to live in real life.

If you feel more lighthearted, you might want to take a look either at the comedy My 88th Wedding Escape a journey into the life of a would-be-marriage-escapist or the animated feature, about a professional e-sport player, The King’s Avatar: For the Glory.
