Oscar’s contenders season continues (until tuesday) and the production team behind John Lee Hancock’s The Founder obviously hopes to see Michael Keaton earn a nomination.

Keaton plays Ray Kroc, the 1950’s salesman who took over Mac and Dick McDonald’s fast-food concept to turn it into the restaurant franchise that became a Billionaire affair.

As always Keaton do things simply but nicely. As always Hancock doesn’t provide for anything fresh with his fast food film making. He is economical and efficient in showing us the American dream. A dream that became a nightmare for the two brothers…

Whether there was any need for a screen story about this is up to your judgment.
