Jae-hyun Jang’s The Priests has a fast paced start, uses along the way all the tricks in the book and provides some entertaining moments. Efficient, well made but without a real spirit on its own it follows the patterns of your typical Exorcist roster paved with loud sounds, sneaky camera moves, occasional stingers and spooky situations with unlikely unrealistic odd couple of priests going to their business as usual with no sympathy for the Devil. The solid Korean Film industry knows its craft but where’s the arty feel and spirit of not so long ago?  This looks like sausage mass production. Not bad, not good either.
