FANTASIA International Film Festival 2016 starts tonight under the honorary presidency of Road Kill Superstar collective (Turbo Kid) with a load of films and guests. A 20th Anniversary that will offer cool names coming to Montreal of the likes of Japanese infamous wild child Takashi Miike who’ll receive a lifetime achievement award.

Among other big names, Marilyn Manson will introduce LET ME MAKE YOU A MARTYR as he is the leading man. Also honored, director Guillermo Del Toro (Pan’s Labyrinth) will be giving a master class at the festival. Kevin Smith will introduce his new film, Yoga Hosers and Christopher Lloyd (Doc from Back to the Future) will do the same with Billy O’Brien’s I Am Not a Serial Killer
The Festival also features new opuses by Renny Harlin (Die Hard 2): Skiptrace with Jackie Chan, Yoji Yamada (TWILIGHT SAMURAI)’s What a Wonderful Family and Three by director Johnny To who’s been a festival favourite since the beginning.

There is a short focus on Polish film genres, including Agnieszka Smoczynska’s  The Lure, a musical fantasy fresh out of Sundance Fest. The focus (4 films) ends the last day of the fest with the restored edition of classic Zulawski’s On The Silver Globe.
